Prayerfully engaging and connecting everyone

Care, Nurture, Accountability...

At Peace United Methodist Church, we believe in the power of small groups to help us grow in our faith, learn from the shared experience of others, provide Christian fellowship, support one another in times of need, hold us accountable to progress in our journey of discipleship, and multiply our power to accomplish work for the kingdom of God.

Peace members and friends host several ongoing groups that meet at a variety of times, appeal to people with different unique perspectives on life (women, men, couples, couples with young kids, single parents, senior citizens, young singles, etc.), and employ a variety of learning styles (short-term book studies, long-term Bible studies, open forum discussion, etc.) as well as supporting and nurturing each other. We can help you find a fit that’s right for you and a schedule that works with yours. We believe that belonging to an active small group is a fundamental part of growing as a Christian and experiencing a full and complete faith life.

 Ongoing Groups

♦The Intercessory Prayer & Healing Group is a group of people who are exploring the power of God to heal us physically, emotionally, and spiritually.  This group explores current and classic literature on the subject of prayer and healing, while sharing their own struggles and lifting one another and others up in prayer. Members have also visited their prayer seekers at home or in the hospital, and spend time as prayer partners in the prayer tent set up at the annual Hunter's Creek Relay for Life.   The current book study is  Reiki Healing and the Way of Jesus.  If you’d like to explore prayer more deeply or if you need healing in your life and would like to be a part of a group like this (or simply have them pray for you), contact Wendy Harmon, jchwrh@aol.com or 407-286-1848. This group meets on Sunday evenings 6:00 - 7:30  p.m. in the Choir Room.

♦The Sunday Night Care Group meets at the church at 6:00 p.m. on Sundays.  This group is open to anyone who would like to participate. The members have done book studies such as John MacArthur's, Twelve Ordinary Men (about the apostles) and Twelve Extraordinary Women (about special women in the Bible).  Contact Rhonda Edwards, RhondaEdwards@comcast.net  for information about this group.
