Worship Music

If God has blessed you with musical talents, we have many ways for you to share that blessing with others.

Regular Music Groups:

Praise Team: The Praise Team and Praise Team Band lead music for the two Contemporary Praise services, taking place Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. and Sundays at 9:30 a.m.  The group and band sizes are limited by the worship space configuration and all musicians must audition for either the team or the band.  The team and band rehearse Wednesday evenings starting at 7:30 p.m. in the Choir Room.  Contact Michael Tschanz for more information.

Chancel Choir: The Chancel Choir leads music for the traditional service on Sundays at 11:00 a.m.  This group is open to anyone and does not require an audition.  While the ability to read music is an advantage, it is not required.  The choir rehearses Thursday evenings starting at 7:30 p.m. in the choir loft of the Multi-Purpose Room.  Contact Jonathan Morris for more information.

Early Service Ensemble: The Early Service Ensemble provides special music for the traditional service on Sundays at 8:15 a.m.  This group rehearses on Sundays at 7:45 a.m. to prepare for the upcoming service.  Contact Jonathan Morris for more information.

Special Ensembles:

Voices of Peace: The Voices of Peace ensemble sings more challenging choral music across a variety of musical styles several times each year.  This limited-size ensemble requires an audition. The ensemble rehearses every other Thursday evening at 8:45 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room.  Contact Jane Moore for more information.

Women's Ensemble: The Women's Ensemble sings three-part treble voice choral music for the traditional service several times each year.  This ensemble does not require an audition.  Rehearsal schedules are set depending on the schedule of the group's participation in worship services.  Contact Diana McMillan for more information.

Other Opportunities:

There are numerous opportunities during the year for other ensembles, soloists, and instrumentalists to participate in corporate worship and to support other events and services.  Contact Jonathan Morris to discuss how you can become more involved in the music ministry.
