Assistant to the Pastor

Jim Berlau brings a strong faith, desire to be in ministry and eagerness to experience new aspects of that ministry.   He is a certified candidate for ministry with the Florida United Methodist Conference and is currently working on his Master of Divinity degree at Asbury Theological Seminary. 

As assistant to the pastor, Jim will focus some of his energies on beginning a Young Adult Ministry that will reach 18-25 year olds within our community.  He will also team up with our Small Group coordinator to assist in strengthening our Small Group ministry throughout the church.  Visiting members in the hospital and shut-ins, as well as building up relationships with other ministry leaders in the church and community, and serving in rotation to lead worship will help Jim gain valuable pastoral experience.
