Prayerfully engaging and connecting everyone

UMW

“The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.”

Across United Methodist churches the United Methodist Women (UMW) is an organization of  nearly 1 million women who seek to know God and whose primary mission is to make the world a better place for women, children, youth and others forgotten or cast aside by the larger global community.  To empower this mission work, United Methodist Women members gather together and meet in small groups to nurture each other in their spiritual journeys and provides opportunities for:

►Leadership development
►Study of issues impacting their neighborhoods, nation and world;
►Participation in informed advocacy and actions
►Financial support of institutions and projects empowering women, children and youth in the United States and around the world.

At Peace, the UMW has several small groups, called circles, that meet regularly during the year. In addition, members participate in local, district and conference level activities and missions.

♦United Methodist Women (UMW) Circle Groups are small groups for women that participate in fellowship and Bible studies (guided by writers such as Max Lucado and his Life Lessons series). These groups, part of our United Methodist Women ministry, are hosted in private homes or at the church. All ladies of the church are invited. If you’d like to find out more about getting connected to one of them, send an e-mail to Kathy Reiber at Ken_Fuhr@msn.com.  Typically, these circles will not meet in June and July, but resume the monthly meeting in August or September.
